BUTLER, Ala. -- Patrician Academy quarterback Blake Reid has a long list of accomplishments with the Saints, his biggest might be leading PA to the AISA Class A State Championship in 2017.
"My dad won I think three when he was in high school," Reid said. "Just getting one, it felt amazing."
"We put him at receiver and he excelled there," said Patrician Academy head football and baseball coach Jonathan Lindsey. "That year was a special year for him. You know, he was our starting quarterback for two years prior to that."
Reid has excelled across three sports for Patrician Academy as an all-district player for basketball, football, and baseball.
He also earned offensive MVP honors for all three sports during his time at PA.
"He's a leader throughout all the sports he's played through his time here at Patrician," Lindsey said. "He's even excelled since his freshman year at the varsity level."
In the classroom, Reid puts up MVP-like numbers as well. He's ranked 2nd in his class, with a 4.03 GPA and a 28 on his ACT. He has been a member of the Honors Society and Beta Club for the last four years, as well as landing on the Honor Roll all four years of high school.
"He's exceptional," said Patrician Academy teacher Melisa Sakon. "It seems like everything he does is really well done. The rigors from practice must make it hard to keep up with your work, but he manages it very well."
