TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Alabama junior defensive lineman Raekwon Davis has decided not to test the NFL Draft waters this year, opting to return to Tuscaloosa for his senior season with the Crimson Tide.

"The NFL has always been my goal" said Davis in a Twitter post on Wednesday night. "But playing football at the University of Alabama is an experience that only happens once, and I'm not ready to see that end."

Davis recorded 55 tackles and 1.5 sacks in 2018, a significant dip from his 2017 production. He earned first-team All-SEC honors in 2017, where he began to generate some significant NFL buzz.

At Meridian, he was a consensus four-star prospect, ranking among the top ten recruits in the state of Mississippi for the class of 2016.
