M.C. Miller un-retires; joins Newton staff

NEWTON, Miss.- (WTOK) M.C. Miller has un-retired to become the defensive coordinator at Newton, as first reported by WCBI-TV.

Miller announced his retirement in November 2018, a week before winning a 4A State Championship at Louisville.

Miller's storied career includes 282 wins, three state championships, two at Louisville (2013, 2018) and one at Noxubee County (2008), two unbeaten seasons, and a trophy case full of individual awards and accolades in his 45 years as a coach.

Miller will join a Newton staff led by head coach Zack Grady, a former player of Miller's, who begins his second season Friday, at home vs. Morton. The Tigers finished 0-10 in 2018.
