MOBILE, Ala. (WBRC) - Senior Bowl week rolls on in Mobile, and as always, when Nick Saban shows up at practice at Ladd-Peebles Stadium, it's an event.
Four Alabama seniors are playing for the South squad, as is former Bama player Jalen Hurts, who transferred to Oklahoma after graduating from Alabama.
Hurts had an outstanding season for the Sooners and Saban had nothing but praise for his former quarterback.
"There's a lot of guys playing in the NFL now that are having a lot of success that are similar style players to Jalen," Saban said. "Guys that can make plays with their feet and I think you know who they are. That success of those players kind of broke the stereotype of you have to be a drop back passer."
Saban adds that he still considers Hurts one of his players despite him spending this past season at Oklahoma.
Hurts will be joined by former teammates, Meridian's Raekwon Davis, Anfernee Jennings, Terrell Lewis and Jared Mayden.
