Union native, Andy Ogletree, captured the U.S. Amateur Golf Championship over the weekend.

A sign is now hanging at the Union Piggly Wiggly in Union, congratulating Andy for his big win. His father owns the store.

Many of the residents in town are extremely excited. That includes the staff and faculty at Andy's alma mater, Union High School.

"Andy was always a great kid. He always worked hard. He always helped the other guys on the golf team," said Brad Breland, Union athletic director. "He's a leader and he always did a really good job with just tutoring the other kids and helping them improve their golf skills."

Ogletree has qualified for three PGA golf majors next year, The Masters, U.S. Open and British Open.
