Fraternity Preps Young Men for Future

A weekend of events kicked off on Friday night, aimed at helping young men in our community prepare for the future.

Dozens of teens were on hand Friday night for the opening banquet of the statewide Beta Sigma conference. It was hosted by the Gamma Epsilon Sigma chapter of the Phi Beta Sigma fraternity. Those with the highest GPA were recognized, as well as the outstanding Beta Sigmas of the year. This all comes as the fraternity prepares to celebrate its 100th year of service.

Saturday, the fraternity will host a youth leadership conference at Meridian High School where college preparations will be emphasized.
