JACKSON, Miss. (THE CLARION-LEDGER)
The infamous Pearl High School shooter, Luke Woodham, is asking to be released on parole.

Woodham killed three people in 1997, including his mother at his home and two others at Pearl High. Seven others were injured.

In January, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that persons sentenced as teenagers must be given a chance to argue for parole.

Woodham was sentenced to three life sentences after his conviction. The state has not yet set a parole eligibility date for him.
